Summer in Spain was born from a simple and deeply familiar scene: four people sitting around a table, playing cards together under the summer sun.
It is the second piece I created in the more outlined, slightly cartoon-like style that marked the beginning of my search for a personal artistic language. The figures are defined by bolder, more spontaneous lines, contrasting with the warm, heavily textured surface surrounding them.
This scene takes me straight back to summers in my hometown: long afternoons, tables outside, card games, endless conversations, and time passing without any rush.
A small everyday scene turned into a memory.
