Cabo is inspired by the lighthouse of Cabo de Palos, a place closely tied to my summers and to countless memories by the Mediterranean. Standing alone on the horizon, the lighthouse becomes a small but unmistakable presence within the composition.
Layers of muted blue are interrupted by a single warm sandy line, guiding the eye towards the tiny structure at its centre. The contrast between the heavy texture of the background and the delicate detail of the lighthouse plays with scale, turning a familiar landmark into something almost distant and timeless.
More than a landscape, Cabo is a personal memory of summer — of the sea, long days and a place I return to year after year. A small piece of Cabo de Palos, painted from memory and made to stay.
